Summer Camp Project is building a Board of Directors to match the scope of our mission — connecting kids from under-resourced communities in the Puget Sound area with transformative summer camp experiences.
As we grow, we're actively recruiting for these board seats:
Treasurer / Finance Chair
We're looking for a board member with financial expertise — accounting, audit, nonprofit finance, or related experience — to help guide our budgeting, financial oversight, and long-term fiscal health as we scale. This person will work closely with our leadership team to ensure strong financial stewardship and donor accountability.
Ideal background: CPA, controller, financial analyst, or similar; nonprofit board or treasurer experience a plus, but not required.
Secretary / Governance Chair
We're looking for a board member to keep Summer Camp Project organized, compliant, and accountable as we grow. This person maintains meeting minutes and board records, helps ensure we're following our own bylaws, and brings a thoughtful eye to legal and governance best practices — from nonprofit compliance to board policy.
Ideal background: Legal, compliance, or nonprofit governance experience strongly preferred (e.g., attorney, paralegal, or governance professional); strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must.
