A scholarship typically includes up to $1,000 applied to a summer camp of the child’s choosing.

Yes, the family will be asked to make a $100 deposit, which will be refunded upon completion of camp. We believe it’s important for the family to have some skin the game to show their commitment, and to prevent no-shows at camp..

We want to make the process as seamless and low-barrier as possible.

The application would be a simple form where families prove they're in SNAP, Medicaid, WIC, or TANF with a screenshot of current eligibility, with a 4-part video pledge where the students are asked to pledge their commitment to staying in school, respecting people and the environment, paying it forward, and answer a simple prompt like "why they want to go to camp?"

After camp, the student is asked to provide a note of gratitude in a method of their choosing (e.g. postcard, letter, video, or drawing.) We believe gratitude is an important practice, and providing this gratitude memento to donors will help us continue to fundraise and provide scholarships for years to come.

Because we believe every kid deserves to experience the magic of overnight summer camp, and finances should not be a barrier to that.
